What are Feasibility Studies?
Feasibility Studies are really useful to identify what the options and alternatives are for a Building Project.
A Feasibility Study is done right at the start of the Project of the Plan/Design Stage prior to developing a more definite proposal.
Feasibility Studies should address all the fears, needs, wants and frustrations of all the Stakeholders involved in the Project.
They are normally done in co-ordination with an Architect / Draftsman who will come up with the design and a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who will provide preliminary costs based on the sketch drawings and any other available information.
If you have started designing your Building Project, it’s a good idea to get a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator on board now.
A Quantity Surveyor can give you advice on how much it is likely to cost. There’s nothing worse than designing your Building Project, only to discover that you can’t afford it.
